The Federation of Canadian Secondary Students / Fédération des élèves du secondaire au Canada (FCSS-FESC) is pleased to announce its Annual General Meeting will take place on Saturday, 3 June 2023 from 14:00 EDT to 17:00 EDT at Toronto City Hall (Committee Room 4).

The Annual General Meeting is an opportunity for all interested stakeholders, not just Members of the FCSS-FESC, to raise their concerns and help shape the future operations of the organization to better empower secondary students across Canada. Everyone who has a vision for how to improve public education is welcome to attend as our Annual General Meeting is open to the public!

Accessibility notice.

  • Toronto City Hall is wheelchair accessible and has wheelchair accessible washrooms on every floor

  • Gender-neutral washrooms are available on the first floor

  • Elevators are accessible and have voice notification/braille

  • Large print digital projection will be used. Alternative formats may be requested in advance

  • Microphones and auditory amplification systems will be in use

  • Childcare will not be provided

  • Lunch will not be served, but light refreshments will be available

  • There is no dress code and we invite attendees to wear whatever they feel most comfortable wearing that is appropriate and respectful

COVID-19 safety precautions.

For the health and safety of our Members in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the FCSS-FESC has added various health and safety precautions that apply to all in-person attendees at our events. As such, all attendees must show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 as defined by Health Canada (i.e., two doses of a two-dose series, or one dose of a one-dose series). In the alternative, attendees may show proof of a documented medical exemption, signed by a physician or nurse practitioner authorized to practice in the province of Ontario. All in-person attendees must also wear a mask at all times other than when seated at an assigned seat.

In recognition of the rights of all attendees rights as set out by the Human Rights Code, RSO 1990, c H.19, attending this event virtually via videoconference is the available accommodation for individuals who are not fully vaccinated, cannot show medical documentation supporting an exemption, cannot or refuse to wear a mask when required, or simply do not wish to disclose their personal information.
