Yes! Donations that meet the minimum threshold will receive an official receipt for income tax purposes. The minimum thresholds are:

• Online donations: $5.00

• Phone or mail donations: $10.00

Receipts for online donations are sent instantly via email. Receipts for phone and mail donations may take two to four weeks to arrive via Canada Post.

We believe strongly in the 100% model. That's why every dollar raised through donations goes directly to supporting our programs.

When we started the FCSS-FESC, we made a bold promise to the general public — 100% of their donations would go directly to Canadian students through our programs. We'd find another way to cover our operating expenses.

We depend on private donors, foundations, granting bodies, and sponsors to cover everything from basic office systems, supplies, and legal and regulatory fees. These donors are some of our most dedicated: their investment fuels our long-term mission, our ability to scale as an organization, and our mission to continue using 100% of public donations to help fuel youth passions across the country.

No. As a charitable organization, we are committed to the 100% model. Every dollar you donate will be spent on programs, services, infrastructure, and outreach that benefits Canadian secondary students. We do not pay our executives or other staff any bonuses, salaries, or stipends. This is only possible through the dedicated work of our volunteers, and we thank them for their support.
